BCBC is required to report all Carbon emissions to WG as part of our Net Zero commitment.
We aim to see a year-on-year reduction in our Carbon emissions and part of this can be achieved by better understanding the extent of all our activities.
Staff business travel / commuting and working from home contributed over 8% of total authority emissions last year but this was made on very broad assumptions with significant margins of error assumed. Better information as reported directly by staff will enable more accurate reporting.
The survey is specifically targeted at how far and often we commute to work and the vehicle/method we use; but also asks what we as an authority could do in order to make our journey and working “greener”.
